I have a question: For the blog assignment, will it be a blog of our own construction about a particular play or writer, or is it meant to be more general? And will it be based on resources for our presentation or separate from the presentation?

Hi, Susie. The blogs will be general and ongoing; you would be expected to comment on weekly readings, class discussions, and/or any other relevant material (eg. books, articles, productions, etc., that you may come across). I assume many of you will want to blog about your other assignments as you work on them, and I would encourage that. The presentations will be on the same writer about whom you will be doing the biographical assignment, and you could certainly write your paper about the work of the same writer, so many of the blogs may develop a heavy focus on particular writers or works, but not necessarily.

I should probably mention here that if anyone really does not want to blog online, they will have the option of doing a more traditional reading log. However, I will do my darnedest to talk you each into going online!
